On April 14, 2011, Mpex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that it had entered into an agreement with Axcan (now Aptalis Pharma Inc.) pursuant to which Axcan acquired all of the outstanding shares of Mpex and its lead product candidate, Aeroquin®.
